On April 25th Leanne Holland Brown, 43, was a pedestrian that was struck by a car that ran off the road onto the sidewalk. Ms. Holland-Brown was airlifted to a Hamilton hospital for her injuries. Holland Brown, the dean of students at Laurier’s Waterloo campus, has since passed away. CTV News Kitchener has reported that police have since arrested Ronald Rees, 56 of Cambridge, on Tuesday and charged him with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death and driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available.
