Global News has reported that a cyclist suffered serious injuries in a bicycle accident in Burlington on Thursday. Halton Police sreported that the accident happened near 4:30 p.m. around the Queen Elizabeth Way. Collision reconstruction investigators str of the opinion that the Dodge Ram pickup, which was pulling a trailer, exited the Queen Elizabeth Way off-ramp and was attempting an eastbound turn onto Fairview Street. The 35-year-old cyclist from Burlington was reportedly travelling westbound on the sidewalk and collided with the trailer at the intersection.
