The Hamilton Spectator reported yesterday that a car was clocked doing over 100 km/hr in a Burlington neighborhood this past Thursday. The Burlington driver lost his licence after being clocked doing 101 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone in Southeast Burlington. Police arrested the driver in the area of Shoreacres and Lakeshore Roads a little after 9:00 p.m. He was charged with stunt driving. The incident has left many residents in the neighbourhood, as well as social media users, quite angry and bewildered. A local resident, Romana Ciella, mentioned that speeding on that particular stretch of road is common after 9 p.m. and she has nearly been hit by vehicles while putting the garbage out to the curb. She said she and others are incensed at the dangerous driving in the area.
