Niagara Police have reported that they’re still investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal accident and the failure of a driver to remain at the scene, which occurred on March 19, 2020. The deceased was driving an E bike, at approximately 11:38 PM on Drummond Road, North of Dunn Street and near the intersection of Dixon Street, in the city of Niagara Falls. The deceased allegedly lost control, hit a curb, and then was hit by the motorist to fail to remain at the scene. The motorist was driving a grey Mazda 3 that would’ve sustained significant front and damage. Car parts have been located and sent to the center of forensic sciences in Niagara Falls. Niagara detectives from the collision Reconstruction unit have located video of the driver’s vehicle which caused the accident, which you can see here:
Niagara police continue to appeal for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the driver that hit the man and may have caused his death. Investigation to date has revealed that there may also have been witnesses to the accident driving northbound by Dixon Road.
The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Paul Brian Fulton of Niagara Falls.
