CBC News reported this morning that one person has died and five taken to hospital following a horrific crash Sunday night in Richmond Hill. York Regional Police say that around 9:30 p.m., emergency services were called to the area of Yonge Street and Jefferson Side Road for reports that a vehicle had flipped over and was on fire. It was reported that the crash shook homes in the area. It appear high speed was involved in the crash. Cars were ripped apart and depris spread over 100 meters wide. Three people were taken to a local hospital and two others went to a Toronto hospital. It’s reported that Yonge Street will be closed in all directions between 19th Avenue and Jefferson Side Road for investigation.
