CTV News in Kitchener and Guelph Today reported yesterday that 65-year-old Phoumy Homsombath, who caused a serious motorcycle accident on Monday, was charged yesterday with careless driving causing bodily harm contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He will appear in the Ontario Provincial Court on July 15, 2020 to answer to the charge. Police and first responders were called to the incident scene located at Willington Road 12 and fourth line around 2 PM on Monday. Police reported the car was driving eastbound, and the motorcycle westbound, when the driver of the car attempted to make a left turn in front of the motorcycle, which lead to the serious crash. The motorcycle rider, Patrick Burke of Hillsburgh was taken by air ambulance to a local trauma centre with very serious injuries.
