Mississauga.com reported yesterday that Kieran Macleod, a Mississauga student, was involved in a motorcycle crash in Phuket on May 12 and was left paralyzed from the chest down as a result. As a result of his crash and paraplegic injuries, he accumulated a roughly $70,000 medical during stay and does not have travel insurance to cover his expenses. Macleod fractured the T6 vertebrae in his spine and underwent surgery to have six screws and a plate put in. A GoFundMe campaign to help reduce costs the family has incurred to date. It has raised close to $25,000 in a three-week span. Lalande Personal Injury Lawyers wish Macleod a speedy recovery.
