CTV Kitchener reported today that a Cambridge motorcyclist is fighting for his life after being involved in a motorcycle accident in Cambridge late yesterday near the intersection of Main Street and Elgin Street North. Allegedly the driver of an SUV driving on Elgin failed to stop at a red light and caused the crash, severely injuring the motorcyclist. The rider was taken to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the SUV was arrested and now faces a number of charges, including failing to stop at a red light, impaired driving causing bodily harm, and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
Waterloo Regional Police are asking anyone with information or with dash-cam footage or surrounding businesses with video footage to please call them at 519-570-9777.
