The Toronto Star reported this morning that a young woman is critically hurt and on life-support after being struck by a transport truck in Oakville. OPP reported tha the woman, who was a pedestrian at the time, was walking along the QEW westbound near Dorval Drive. She was reportedly a passenger in a car and had exited the vehicle after it stopped on the shoulder. She was nearly hit by another vehicle just before she was struck by the truck. The woman was taken the the Hamilton General Hospital where she remains on life-support and is in life-threathing condition.
