Hamitlon Police reported that the male victim involved in a hit-and-run has succumbed to his injuries making this the 6th pedestrian death this year. On September 20, 2019, the deceased was male was crossing northbound on Main Street East in the crosswalk on the west side of Sanford Avenue when he was struck by a dark coloured SUV travelling eastbound on Main Street. The man was taken to hospital where he died on October 23rd, 2019. Hamilton Police state that the dark coloured SUV would have extensive damage to the front and windshield.
