CTV news reported that a 39 year old woman was killed by a suspected drunk driver on Thursday in Regent Park. The mother of 3 was a pedestrian walking in the areas of Regent Park Blvd. and Dundas Street East while waiting to cross the street. The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash has been taken into police custody under suspicion of impaired driving. As of this morning, Toronto CTV News reported that 40-year-old Joshua Smoke was charged in connection with the investigation. He is now facing five charges, including impaired driving causing death and dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death.
